Privacy Policy

This Policy explains what data Support Locals GO collects, why, who sees it, and how to delete it. Maintained by the app owner, not legal advice. Last updated 7/7/2026.

The short version. We collect the minimum needed to run the app: your account, your check-ins, your share-proof events, and the rewards you claim. We never sell personal information. You can delete your account at any time.

We do not collect passwords or follower counts from Facebook, Instagram, TikTok or X. When you tap "Follow" or "Share", we open the platform in your browser — we don't post on your behalf and we don't read your social account.

2. Location

Location is optional and used only at the moment of check-in to confirm you're at the business. We store an approximate distance (in meters) and the business ID — not a continuous location trail. You can decline the location prompt and still check in.

3. Share-proof events

Each share-proof URL is scoped to your account, the business, the platform (Facebook, IG, TikTok, X), and the currently selected city. It lets a participating business (and us) confirm the follow/share happened so you get the correct discount tier. Share-proof events are not posted publicly.

4. Who we share data with

Participating businesses see the aggregate metrics for their own listing (visit counts, redeemed codes, share-proof totals) and the redemption code you present. They do not receive your email or full profile.

State creators see aggregate leaderboard totals for their state. They do not receive your email or precise location.

We use standard infrastructure vendors (hosting, database, auth, email delivery, error monitoring) that process data on our behalf under contract. We do not sell personal information.

5. Your rights

You can request a copy of your data, correct it, or delete your account at any time by emailing privacy@supportlocals.app (we honor deletion within 30 days). California, Colorado, and EU/UK residents have additional rights (access, portability, opt-out of profiling, appeal); email the same address to exercise them.

6. Children

The App is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has created an account, email us and we'll delete it.

7. Security

Data is transmitted over HTTPS. Passwords are hashed. Access to production data is limited to the app owner. No system is perfectly secure — if you suspect a breach, email privacy@supportlocals.app.

8. Cookies & storage

We use first-party cookies and browser storage to keep you signed in, remember your selected city, and count basic page views. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.

9. Changes

We'll announce material changes in-app or by email at least 7 days before they take effect.
